Emily Ratajkowski Posts Nude Selfie After Defending Kim Kardashian

Somebody get these ladies a stylist! Emily Ratajkowski posted a nude selfie on Wednesday, March 9, after taking Kim Kardashian‘s side in the dispute over her naked picture this week.

Like Kardashian, the Gone Girl actress stripped down and posed nude in a bathroom, using her phone to snap a photo in the mirror. Ratajkowski, 24, also alluded to the fiasco by echoing Kim’s caption from her first naked selfie on Monday, March 7. “What to wear tonight?” Ratajkowski wrote. “#PFW.”

Unlike the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star (and copycat Courtney Stodden), Ratajkowski didn’t use black strips to censor her nudity. Instead she expertly draped her arm across her body to cover her chest.

The California-raised star was one of a few stars to rush to Kardashian’s defense earlier this week. Others included Kim’s sisters, Kourtney Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, as well as Bella Thorne, Ariel Winter and Rowan Blanchard.

Love when a man comments on a woman’s decision to post a nude photo. Her body, her career. Sexist bullsh*t. @KimKardashian

Someone should be reading my Lenny letter and taking a lesson in what it means to be a woman and sexual in our culture. Ehem.

Also love that when a woman stands up for herself everyone thinks it must be her dude speaking for her. @KimKardashian

Ratajkowski elaborated about embracing her sexuality in Lena Dunham‘s Lenny Letter, published last month. “I struggle to find the space between as an artist, as a model, and simply as a woman — a space where I can have ownership and enjoyment of my gender,” she wrote at the time. “Honoring our sexuality as women is a messy, messy business, but if we don’t try, what do we become?”

Kim took a similar stance this week, writing on her website: “I am empowered by my body. I am empowered by my sexuality. I am empowered by feeling comfortable in my skin. I am empowered by showing the world my flaws and not being afraid of what anyone is going to say about me. And I hope that through this platform I have been given, I can encourage the same empowerment for girls and women all over the world.”
